In other thoughts: the Celtics will win Game 7 in OT (obviously), and this time Paul Pierce, not Ray Allen, will be the scoring machine. The Bulls are going to double-team Allen, leaving Pierce open time after time for crucial 18-footers down the stretch. I'll even go as far as to say Paul Pierce is the greater playoff threat for the Celtics, only because he matched up against LeBron last year, and is known to be more clutch. Ray-Ray can rain three's all day. At the end of the day, Pierce is the TOUGHEST Celtic. He's the true heart and soul of that team.

I say this not cause they seem to be struggling with the bulls, They went to 7 games in all 3 rounds of the playoffs last year so they are right on track from last year. This year though people have their number and they are banged up a bit like the lakers were.

I'll tell you why. On Boston's side, their team defense is as tenacious and relentless as ever, and offensively, their ball movement my even be superior to last year.

We're about 35 games into the NBA season right now -- nearly to the midway point -- and the New Jersey Nets and Milwaukee Bucks are holding on to the final two playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. I doubt that's the way it will end, however, because the list of teams that are on the outside looking in is quite an interesting one: Philadelphia 76ers, Chicago Bulls, Toronto Raptors, and Indiana Pacers (to name the true contenders).

Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett will have their hands full this season as many teams have improved their line-ups.
In the Eastern Conference, there are a couple of teams that made upgrades in their rosters and these changes will greatly affect the whole conference itself. The former rankings of the teams in the East will have a slight change due to the trades made in the off-season.

Shooting Guard ( Kobe Bryant vs. Ray Allen) I love this matchup for the NBA Finals. I believe it will be a fiery series with these two superstars. Kobe has been incredibly impressive thus far in the playoffs, so expect no less from him. He is the MVP who also has 3 rings. Kobe’s game will be on point and he needs to he won’t hesitate to drop fifty n the opposing team 50 if he needs to. Ray Ray has not been that productive in the playoffs. He is also probably a little worn out after chasing Richard Hamilton around screens all of the Pistons/Celtics series. That does not mean he won’t come out in this series shooting the lights out. Kobe drive to win will be hard to for the Celtics to overcome.

Finally.
A collective sigh of relief can finally be let out. After a season that can, at best, be called unpredictable, the Lakers have solidified their position as one of the elite teams in the NBA. Yes, Lakers fans, we have once again climbed the mountain and are almost at the end of our journey. We swept the Nuggets, silenced the Jazz, and dethroned the Spurs. We are the Western Conference Champions, undoubtedly the best team with the best player in the world, perhaps of all time.

As I watched the Hornets-Spurs game last night, I had no idea whom I wanted to win. The Hornets? The Spurs? It wasn't so much that I was rooting for my favorite of the two, but I was looking for the opponent that couldn't match up with the Lakers. It was a great game, but in the end, I think I did want the Hornets to win. With Tony Parker maturing and Tim Duncan his usually great stoic self, the veteran Spurs always somehow find a way to win unspectacularly. I've always like the Spurs since the George Gervin days, but I will always choose my Lakers over the Spurs anyday...
