Finally.
A collective sigh of relief can finally be let out. After a season that can, at best, be called unpredictable, the Lakers have solidified their position as one of the elite teams in the NBA. Yes, Lakers fans, we have once again climbed the mountain and are almost at the end of our journey. We swept the Nuggets, silenced the Jazz, and dethroned the Spurs. We are the Western Conference Champions, undoubtedly the best team with the best player in the world, perhaps of all time.
Some say that the league wanted this; that there is a conspiracy to bring about a Lakers-Celtics championship. My response: Thanks, but you're idiots. All of you. There, I said it, now shut up. Yes, the thought of a Lakers-Celtics finals makes me salivate, it's true. But I could say that about any other team in the league that the Lakers would be facing. I'm sure that any fan would have done just about anything to see the Lakers in the finals, regardless of who they faced. And face it, it's a coincedince. The best teams in the league just happen to be the Lakers and Celtics. Let it go, we're the best, its not a conspiracy. Anybody who watched the Lakers-Spurs series can tell you about the plethora of missed calls on Kobe, especially in game 5. While kobe has been known to complain, he was hit plenty of times with no call. And I know what you're going to say, so stop. The end of game 4 was a perfect no call. Refs don't decide games, especially when Brent Barry is 5 feet outside of the 3 point line. Get a better shot.
